How should one treat themselves during fever?
Steps to be followed: (Children to old age people)
What should be eaten during fever?
There is a saying called, "லங்கணம் பரம ஔஷதம்""Langanam parama oushatham"
Which means "Fasting is the best Medicine" If you cannot fast, you can follow the below list of food items :

Unsalted plain rice kanji with onion.

chew and sip juice of Mosambi (Do not intake as juice from juicer).

Drink Sukku Malli kashayam.
Practices to follow during fever: Uthanapathasana :(Exhale and hold)
Lay flat on the ground, facing upwards...

Exhale and lift your both legs.(lift only for 1feet distance)

Hold your breath and both legs in lifted position (Exhale & Hold)

Inhale and bring your legs down.
Note
1.In all the three steps make sure your body and breath is united.

When to bath after fever?
Once your body temperature stabilizes, your sense of taste and appetite should return. Take a warm bath around 4 pm, following these steps:

Pour warm water over your feet, knees, waist, and shoulders.

Wash your face.
-
Finally, pour warm water over your head.
Note:
One should not bath in hot water during Amavasai, Sundays & Shankranthi days
What to consume after fever?
Initially, consume Rasam rice and gradually introduce mild food items.
Avoid the following foods:

Idly
-
Dosa
-
Chutney
-
Rasam (except as mentioned earlier)

Multigrain mix
-
Cereals
-
Pulses
-
Biscuits
-
Bun
-
Bread
Restrict salt intake during fever to facilitate a faster recovery .
